Bottles and other glass

The bottles shown above are the most useful for fusing in my experience, they behave well and deliver good colour. Scroll through them to see them all.

Unfortunately, not all coloured bottles are suited. Some of them are only coated and the coating with burn off in the kiln. As a rule of thumb, anything yellow, orange, pink, red or purple will be coated.

Sadly, none of the Whitney Neill bottles will work (I know, what a shame, that would have opened a great colour palette…), neither will Mermaid gin.

If in doubt, you can use a key and scratch the side of the bottle. This is usually enough to scratch a coating.
