Always fascinating to look back - but even better to look forward Aug 2020 - When I started fundraising in August 2020 with my first sale, I was hoping I could aim to raise £1.000 per year. As it turned out, I hit that first milestone is less than 6 months. I was overwhelmed by the interest and support Dec 2021 - In 2021, interest increased even further. All of a sudden, the big milestone of £5.000 felt in reach - much sooner than I had anticipated. Jan 2022 - The community has been fantastic. Ironically, I don't like gin, so I am relying on others to help me collect empty bottles. I have a brilliant network around me. The struggles to have enough material to work with that I encountered fairly frequently in the first 18 months has now more or less disappeared. A sincere THANK YOU to all my supporters, I wouldn't be able to do it without you. Jan 2022 - Letter from Centrepoint to share what they have been able to use the funds for July 2022 - after 2 years, I had reached another major milestone. I had no idea how many different things you can make out of a bottle, but it turns out I can still think of new ideas. And as long as people still like what I do, I just keep going. Oct 2023 - I became intrigued by the idea of setting up my own website. It was an opportunity to create a bit more structure, a better overview and in itself it became a bit of a fun project to work on. I am currently at a total of £8.400 raised - and have eyes on the next milestone... Nov 2023 - A major milestone. I am feeling proud and humbled; privileged that I am able to use my hobby to help others and immensely grateful to anyone who has helped me getting here. THANK YOU!
